‘Loved everything about this cottage – the décor, garden furnishings etc. Loved the proximity to the beach and train station plus the weather was glorious. Definitely would come back again. Have thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.’

‘Splendid holiday in splendid house in splendid location. House was warm when we arrived and lots of nice touches such as lit-up Xmas tree in sitting room. Nice surprise later in Games Room was drawer of spare ping pong balls. Obviously very thoughtful owners’.

‘Highly recommended!! Thank you. A fantastic holiday in a beautiful cottage. Loved styling, décor and garden. Appreciated fresh flowers on arrival; yellow roses and blue iris’s and cake.’

 – The Samuel Family.

‘Superb location near the sea, station great for persons arriving by train – station only couple of hundred yards away. Beautifully decorated. Well-appointed kitchen (I was chief cook). Impressed by owners quick response when we found it chilly on our first morning, following the phone call they raised the heating temperature by several degrees’.

 – Jake (50).

‘We loved staying in The Cottage. Beautifully decorated, gorgeous garden (loved the birds) and of course the Games Room/Summer House. David loved the games room so much we are now planning to build our own! Thank you.’

 – The Erskines.

‘Everything in house was of beautiful design and just where it was, most convenient. After first day we were nice and warm in the kitchen/dining room (woodburning stove easy to get a lovely fire) and main sitting room (decorative but warm stove). House was a real find’.

 – Frankie (80)

 – Luke (20).

ABOUT THE PROPERTY

‘The Cottage’ was built in 1905 and is in the peaceful and tranquil hamlet of Normans Bay, Pevensey. A three bedroom, bright and spacious home with a well-manicured, large garden and heated Games Room makes this property a wonderful choice for a family holiday, with a table tennis table and dartboard as well as seating area and mini-fridge. The front door opens onto a private shingle path directly to the private beach, which is quiet, even in the Summer Holidays. Normans Bay also has a 'shop' which opens between March and October, selling essentials and breakfast on Saturdays. The birdlife in this hamlet is amazing. A truly idyllic location.

Being at ‘The Cottage’ is like stepping back in time – away from the rat-race. A true escape! We have furnished this property with a lot of thought and decorated it with the sea and beach in mind. ‘Ravilious’ – a Sussex artist infuences the artwork, as well as coastal lino-cut images and vintage railway prints. A real Haven. Normans Bay is tiny and sits between Eastbourne/Pevensey and Cooden/Bexhill. A coastal train runs through and amazingly does stop at Normans Bay!
